My New Invention!

I know I'm not the greatest at blogging, but I've just been very busy! I recently moved my salon into my home. The transition has been very time consuming, but is finally pacing out.

I do have something to blog about today however! As some of you know I like to experiment with designing clothes and accessories. Recently I came up with an idea that I love so much I just had to share. It's becoming pretty popular so I have decided to make it into a small business. It's called 'Skinny Me Jeans'. It's a body sculpting band that I sew directly into your favorite pair of jeans. It comfortably holds your love handles in while keeping your jeans up and hiding your underwear, or for some "Crack"!

While I was experimenting I decided to try it on my least favorite pair of jeans. I had bought True Religions and accidently shrunk them in the dryer. It shrunk the rise of the jeans and made my already low rise jeans even lower! They were still cute on but so annoying because I would have to wear long cami's underneath my top and pull them back up after bending over! So I put my band in and waalaa... They instantly became my favorite jeans! I tried them out over Thanksgiving Dinner and everyone asked if I lost weight! I love it so much that I've put them in every one of my jeans and dresspants that I own. It wasn't my intention to look skinnier, it was just to keep my pants up and keep my underwear from poking out! The band is sewn into the inside of your jeans underneath the waist band. It's NOT attached to the top like Maternity jeans are. It just looks like you are wearing a tucked in black cami. The fabric is a Matte finish and it comes up to just below your bra.

After having a lot of requests I have decided to throw a party for the next time I come to Utah. It will be monday Dec. 15th from 6-9 pm. at Salon Hope in Draper Utah. We will have a discount Designer Jean lady come and if you don't want new jeans, just bring in your favorite pair and I promise you will love them even more. We will first decide what size you will need. XS- XXL. I will have samples there for you to try on. For $29, I will then sew them into your jeans and have them delivered back to you within 3 days. I'm also bringing in fun Fleur de Lis jewelry and accessories from New Orleans, straight from the French Quarter! It will be so much fun! I will be handing out coupons for Great Lengths Hair Extensions too!

Salon Hope is owned by my one of my very good friends and she has agreed to let me host the party there. It's a perfect place because it's big and has a full length mirror in the bathroom for us to try on Jeans! She will be giving out coupons for free or discounted services and have a drawing to win free professional hair products. She has Pureology, Redken, Biolage, Vavoom, Bedhead (hair and Make-up) and many more! All products will be discounted!

I hope everyone can make it! Please feel free to bring friends and family! It will be so much fun.

2002 6 year reunion

Ok, so as most of you know, I am arranging our 6 year high school reunion since we didn't get a 5 year. I made a blog that is just for Alta High 2002. Please check it out and let me know what you think.www.altahigh2002.blogspot.com. I think it will be so much fun! It will be held at Draper Park June 28th @ 8 p.m. All Alta 2002 graduates are invited. Bring a picnic and s'more supplies for you and whoever you are bringing: Spouse, kids, friends, anyone is welcome. I am so excited to see everyone! Don't be dumb, just come! I really didn't mean to rhyme! Anyways, I figure if I tell everyone I have kept in touch with to tell everyone they have kept in touch with, we could get a pretty good turn out! So start talking! I am also putting together a list on the blog of everyone who is wanting to come. That way people might be more interested in coming if they see a few of their friends on the list! So, if you are wanting to come please let me know so that I can put your name on the list! Yay! E-mail me at bryn.nicholle@yahoo.com or just leave a comment saying you will be there! Hey, if I can come all the way from New Orleans to be with you, the least you could do is drive down the street to be with me! Hope to hear from ya'll soon!

Mom and Dad visit New Orleans

Ok, so I know I am not good about updating my blog, but here's my excuse.... By the time that I look at everyone else's' blogs, I don't have time for mine. Not buyin it? Ok, I will just have to work on updating it more often! It has been really fun getting in touch with some old friends though! I haven't been the best at keeping in touch with friends from high school so this definitely helps!

I am still working on our condo and will download some pics of it later. In the mean time I will tell you about what I have been up to. Mark and I had our birthdays and it was so fun! Mark surprised me with a LCD TV! That was our joint gift to each other! He also bought me a dress form so that I could use to sew some clothes I have designed. It has been so much fun! If you are into fashion design, you have to have a dress form. I got mark a very attractive outfit!

My parents were in town for my birthday and we had so much fun. If you ever want to come visit I will have you know that I am an excellent tour guide! We went to Gulf Shores one day, and while we were there we went on a dolphin cruise (Liz you would have loved it!) and shopping. On another day we went to several of the plantation homes! It was so cool to see such beautiful mansions! We also went on a dinner cruise on the Mississippi River. They served dinner and had a live Jazz band. We went shopping in the French Quarter and walked down Bourbon street, toured the Audubon Zoo, toured Katrina sites, went on a swamp tour on an airboat, toured the Garden District, and went to several amazing restaurants! So Fun! We miss you already mom and dad!

Mark and I met August of 2002 at the University of Utah. We dated for a year before we got married. We got married August 6th 2003. 4.5 years ago! We were married in the Salt Lake Temple. 2 years after that we moved to New Orleans to go to school. 2 weeks after that we were forced back home by Katrina! 4 months later we moved back to see what was left of our stuff and go to school for a semester. 4 months later we moved to Tennessee for Mark's internship with Master Craft. 3 months later we moved back to Utah. The summer of 2007 Mark moved to Mississippi for an internship with Trinity Yachts. I stayed in Utah to work. I do hair. We missed each other a ton, but got to visit each other every other weekend. Thanks to Liz, I survived! August of 2007 we moved back to New Orleans and bought a beautiful condo on the lake! You are all caught up now!

For those who don't know, Mark is going to school at the University of New Orleans. He is majoring in Naval Architectural Marine Engineering. Basically he designs boats. His passion is designing yachts. I work at a cute salon doing hair. We are now renovating our cute condo in our spare time. We really love living in New Orleans because of the warm weather and the fun atmosphere!
